Grandmaster Ko, Owner & Head Master 8th Dan


Queen Elizabeth II Golden Jubilee Medal Recipient, 2002 President of the Korean Canadian Business Association, since 2015 Honourary Ambassador for the Korean Tourism Organization, 2018 His Experience Master Ko is ranked as an 8th Dan Degree Black Belt through the World Taekwondo Federation and the Ontario Taekwondo Association. He is known for his international participation in the development of Tae Kwon Do in Canada today. He has been an integral part of the World Tae Kwon Do Federation for the past 45 years. Credentials He is also the recipient of the prestigious Golden Jubilee award. This reward is awarded to Canadians who have made an outstanding and exemplary contribution to communities and Canadians. It also distinguishes how a contribution has helped in the Canada of today and on the achievements of younger Canadians who are actively contributing to our future. It should be noted no other Tae Kwon Do instructor, owner or operator in Canada has been awarded this distinguished and honourable award Master Ko through continued contributions to communities actively aspires to be a leader to the community members he mentors in his school. This attitude resonates throughout the club and amongst the members he teaches enriching the club environment. Grand Master Ko has been a well-regarded and respected Tae Kwon Do practitioner well over 25 years in the GTA. He possesses a dedicated and unwavering work ethic and endeavours to help everyone achieve greatness at his school. As a member you will undoubtedly recognize his charisma, talent and versatility in teaching a variety of highly skilled manoeuvres. From self-defense techniques stemming from Hap Ki Do to his competence in teaching effective ground techniques in grappling and of course his unsurpassed ability to still wow a crowd in his remarkable Tae Kwon Do abilities. He is your teacher, your mentor and a catalyst to the amazing transformation you will feel in yourself as you grow to love the school and sense of belonging.

Master Lee, Kendo Head Master


Master Lee has been practicing kendo since the fifth grade, so he has over 25 years of Kendo experience. Before moving to Canada, he was the instructor of his University's Kendo club. In 2000, he moved to Canada and founded Jung Ko Kendo. He is currently member of Canadian Kendo Federation and official Kendo Shimpan (judge) in Canada. Master Lee has been awarded several times for Korean and Canadian kendo championships and recently he has been awarded by the Canadian Kendo Federation for his contribution to Canadian Kendo community.

Master YuKyung Jung, Lead Master 6th Dan


Master Yu Kyung Jung is a 6th Dan Black Belt with her knowledge of the sport nearly everlasting. Having done Taekwondo for all of her life, she began training since the age of 7 - giving her more than 40 years of experience in the sport and as a teacher. She has won numerous international championships in sparring from around the globe including Canadian, American, and Korean National Championships several times. Her experiences and knowledge of sparring has named her the best female fighter for many years. Even to this day, she shows time and time again with her speed and power, that she is still one of the best sparrers in the world. While Master Jung is a menacing competitor, she is an admiring and loving person outside the ring. She has increadible chrasima with childern, and from that she is well respected by many students and families. FUN FACT: Master Jung has two children (a 22 year old daughter & 17 year old son), the son being Instructor Jacob Jae Sung Lee!

Instructor Jacob Lee, Lead Assistant 4th Dan


Hello everybody. My name is Instructor Jacob Jae Sung Lee. I am 18 years old at the moment, and a 4th Dan Black Belt at Jung Ko Taekwondo. I have done Taekwondo for 14 years of my life and it has forever been my favourite sport as an instructor and as a student. I am approaching my final year of high school as of September and I plan to go into university to fulfill my dream job. Educationally, I have received various academic awards, and in particular honor roll for all of my years in high school so far. In Taekwondo, I have experienced competitive tournaments for 6 years and during which I have obtained various medals and trophies. I have won many of my competitions as of recent years, but I was only able to do so with hard work and determination. As a teacher and a person, I have no bias in whom I teach as I will gladly teach any age and any belt. FUN FACT: My first and current master/coach/everything is my mother Master Yu Kyung Jung!
